The Magnetic Appeal of the Motor Car -
A Second Automobile Summer Programme Is Planned

From May to September 2011 Baden-Württemberg spent 125 days celebrating the 125th birthday of the motor car. Some 400 events attracted over one million visitors to mark Carl Benz's registration of the patent for the world's first motor car on 29 January 1886. And the excitement engendered by the huge birthday celebrations and the fascination with the motor car are now set to continue beyond this anniversary year.
